Word from Steve Earley at the Baltimore Sun about their annual Mobbies awards:
“Nominations end 5 p.m. today for The Baltimore Sun’s fourth annual Mobbies best blogs and social media accounts contest. Best Tech Blog is one of 22 categories this year, which also include a new video contest and the return of Best Politics Blog and Best Fashion blog as stand-alone subjects.”
In addition to more nominations generally for all their categories, Earley also thinks there could be more tech blog nominations (yes, we were kindly nominated — thanks! — and are now creating competition for ourselves. Damn reporting ethics!)

To nominate a site for Best Tech Blog, go to http://bsun.md/mobbies-tech. To see who’s already been nominated, go to http://baltimoersun.com/mobbies and scroll down (categories are listed alphabetically).
Voting happens Oct. 29 to Nov. 9, also at http://baltimoresun.com/mobbies. Voters can vote once a day in each category.
Winners of each category receive free ads on baltimoresun.com and a badge for their site or social media account. They will be “inaugurated” at an election-themed party 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Creative Alliance in Highlandtown, featuring beer from sponsor Flying Dog. The celebration of Maryland’s blogging and social media communities is open to all.  RSVP on Facebook at http://bsun.md/mobbies-2012-bash.
