NASDAQ shouts out new ConsenSys-Microsoft partnership

Developers, developers, developers!

Williamsburg-based ConsenSys got a big shoutout yesterday when its work with Microsoft Azure was the subject of NASDAQ’s daily news item.
The article, “Microsoft’s Azure Blockchain As a Service Program Gains Momentum” goes over the potentially disruptive implications of the use of smart contracts and blockchain technology generally in the financial sector.
“The collaboration presents Azure as a great development, testing, acceptance and production environment for blockchain applications,” author Prableen Bajpai wrote. “Those involved in innovating with different blockchain technologies can use the ‘fail fast and cheap’ ecosystem to mix and match technologies in a Dev-Test sandbox.”

It’s all about the developers. The more exposure the blockchain gets with developers — and Azure is a great distribution network for getting Ethereum’s blockchain in front of devs — the more cool, useful stuff will get built.
But don’t take it from us, Steve Ballmer can tell you (sweatily): It’s all about developers.
