Help bring technology into the newsroom with Knight-Mozilla’s OpenNews Fellowship.
The 10-month program will hook up eight technologists with publications like The New York Times and The Guardian in efforts to “strengthen the journalism-developer community,” according to the fellowship’s site. The deadline is this Saturday. The application is “just 450 words and a few links,” says program director Dan Sinker.

This year’s inaugural fellows have created several tools for media geeks, like NewsJack, “a media remixing tool,” and NewsQuest, “A Choose Your Own Adventure for the news.” (The NewsQuest site is currently down but it’s on GitHub here.)
