Philadelphia in the spring time: the sun, the birds OHMYGOD ITS A FLASH MOB.
Social media has been getting a bad rap lately thanks to Twitter-organized mobs, but that shouldn’t stop you from attending our social media-heavy event schedule this week.
First, learn about the intricacy of social media law, then take advantage of our wonderful weather of late by searching around Old City for charity. Lastly, spend an easy Sunday morning learning how to install Linux.

Tuesday, March 23rd: When we were wee tykes in journalism school (read: two years ago) things like “libel” and “slander” were easy to grasp. Now, one stream-of-conscience tweet may be all that is separating you and your company from an inconvenient lawsuit. Head on out to Bala Cynwyd and learn the legal implications for your new social media campaign. 8:15 a.m. Bala Cynwyd. RSVP. [view more events]
Thursday, March 25th: Twestival Philly wants to help you remember the Easter egg hunts of your youth by sending you and a team of others on a scavenger hunt around Old City. Use social media to uncover items before retiring to National Mechanics for some brews. Technically Philly typically doesn’t list paid events, but your 20 bucks will go to Concern Worldwide. Happy hunting! 7:00 p.m. Old City. RSVP. [view more events]
Sunday, March 28th: It’s a fact: installing Linux is a bitch. One wrong move and you could end up erasing your entire hard drive, and that’s before getting into partitions. Avoid the hassle and have the kind folks at Hive76 help you out during their Linux install class taught by Maggie Avener and Stephanie Alarcon. 10 a.m. Poplar. RSVP. [view more events]
