Yet Analytics is bringing home some hardware from the West Coast.
The startup that built a big-data analytics and interoperability platform won the Nielsen Data Visionary Award at TechCruch Disrupt SF.

Yet Analytics exhibited at the huge tech conference’s Startup Alley. Nielsen (think TV ratings), which is the official sponsor of the confab, looked to give the award to “the startup harnesses data in the most seamless and creative way to deliver a unique user experience or insight.”
“We’re thrilled to select Yet Analytics as recipient of the 2015 Nielsen Data Visionary Award, in recognition of their unique platform that allows users to leverage large quantities of data from multiple sources to measure and improve performance,” said Nielsen CTO James Powell.
“We were especially proud to represent Baltimore right in the heart of Silicon Valley,” Yet cofounder and CEO Shelly Blake-Plock said in an email. “To win the award in this extremely competitive space was both validating for our team as well as a sign that expectations are changing rapidly in the increasingly complex data space.”
Yet, which is based in the Emerging Technology Centers’ 33rd Street campus, recently launched Yet Core, which was built using open technology developed by the U.S. Department of Defense.
