UrbanStems plans Baltimore expansion following Series A

The flower delivery company should be in Baltimore by summer. Sagamore Ventures is an investor.

Kevin Plank tied his investment in UrbanStems to his entrepreneurial roots delivering flowers in College Park.
Now with a second investment from Plank’s Sagamore Ventures (among others), the service is expanding to Baltimore, our sister site Technical.ly DC reports.
The flower delivery service is expected to launch here in the summer, said cofounder Jeff Sheely. The move was a natural step given Baltimore and D.C.’s proximity. The mid-Atlantic bloom fills in even further given the company’s active market in New York and expansion plans in Philly.
Those looking to brighten up someone’s day can order flowers on-demand with the UrbanStems app, and they’re delivered via bike messenger. The company currently has an opening posted for a general manager in its expansion cities.
