DC’s UrbanStems is now delivering flowers in Philly

The company has made good on a plan to expand to Baltimore and Philly after its $6.8 million Series A in April.

UrbanStems, the D.C.-based flower delivery startup, announced earlier this week that its services are now available in the city of brotherly love.

Philly is the fourth city of operation for the roughly two-and-a-half-year-old company — UrbanStems also delivers in D.C., New York and Baltimore. Philly is also the second of the two cities UrbanStems cited as expansion targets when the company raised a $6.8 million Series A in April.
UrbanStems has three full-time employees in Philly to start, and an office based out of a former bike shop. Read on at our sister site, Technical.ly Philly, for more on the expansion.
