Meet the 9 companies that just kicked off Towson’s StarTUp Accelerator

Five ventures led by minority and/or women founders, two by professors from local universities, one by TU student entrepreneurs, one by a military veteran, and one international venture relocating to Towson for the accelerator have collectively raised $2.5M in funding.

What does the latest edition of Technical.ly’s RealLIST Startups roster have in common with the most recent cohort of Towson University’s StarTUp accelerator? Principally, two names: Adeola Ajani and Dexter Carr Jr.

The founders of Fem Equity and Game4Good, respectively, join seven other companies’ founders in this most recent cohort of Towson’s accelerator, which ends with a September 14 showcase at the public university’s StarTUp at the Armory building. Until then, all founders will actively participate in an intensive eight-week, cohort-based fellowship, residing and collaborating to expedite their ventures’ growth.
