Ticketleap is now taking a smaller cut of tickets that are $5 or less, the Center City company recently announced on its blog.
It’s a move to get more small-ticket events on the platform.
Ticketleap charges 2 percent and $1 for every ticket sold on its platform but realized that with very cheap tickets, that number just didn’t make sense.
“On a $5 ticket, our fee is $1.25,” wrote Ticketleap President Tim Raybould. “That is not reasonable and today we’re changing it in a pretty big way.”
