Local researchers are banding together Sept. 27 to show their work.
Start Talking Science will feature some 30 STEM pros, gathered to discuss their scientific labors of love — and maybe inspire others to pursue similar paths.
Happening at the Science History Institute, the yearly event looks to increase public awareness of cutting-edge research taking place at local institutions like Temple, Drexel and Penn.
RSVPChristina Love, director of Start Talking Science, said the event also looks to strengthen science communication skills among local STEM researchers and create an atmosphere for networking and collaboration.
At previous iterations of the event, researchers have taken on topics as broad as detection of dark matter in the universe, the biochemistry behind the human circadian clock and the potential expansion of safety measures at airports through the use of existing X-Ray machines for explosive detection.
