After roughly two years, SnipSnap has crossed the two million user mark, said founder Ted Mann, with three-quarters of its users on its iPhone app and the other quarter on its six-month-old Android app.

In other news, the Callowhill digital couponing app is at ten employees, up from eight last March, and has partnerships with 15 paying retailers, including Toys “R” Us, Party City and Bed, Bath & Beyond, Mann said. All of SnipSnap’s employees now work out of Venturef0rth except one, who runs the one-person New York City office.

Here are a few more updates from the DreamIt Ventures graduate company:

  • The company website got a redesign. Check it out here.
  • SnipSnap launched a partnership with Valpak, a print and digital couponing distributor that says it distributes 20 billion offers a year. Valpak’s local coupons will be available on SnipSnap, according to a release.
  • Mann hired entrepreneur Ron Braunfeld away from PayPal to lead SnipSnap’s sales and business development. Braunfeld cofounded WHERE, a Boston mobile ad network that was acquired by PayPal for $135 million in 2011. Braunfeld, who lives in Bala Cynwyd, liked PayPal but wanted to work for an early-stage businesses, Mann said.
  • Braunfeld is taking on the ‘president’ title at SnipSnap, but Mann is still serving as the startup’s CEO, he confirmed. The move here appears to be a way to offer seniority to a veteran technology executive.
  • SnipSnap’s new VP of Engineering is Jeff Deville, who used to work at the now-shuttered Packlate.
