SEED SPOT welcomed 11 new startups last week for its Spring 2020 Impact Accelerator.

The ventures were introduced at a kickoff event on Jan. 30 at the Booz Allen Hamilton Innovation Center, which attracted more than 250 attendees. Upside Business Travel cofounder and CEO Scott Case shared tips on how to thrive as a founder with the crowd.

Throughout the program, SEED SPOT will host Venture Thursday events on Feb. 13, Feb. 27 and March 12, for the community to hear the entrepreneurs pitch and provide feedback. The accelerator program will conclude with a community-wide Demo Day at the Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company on April 14, where each team will pitch their venture for the opportunity to win prizes.

“Throughout the program, we will push the for-profit and nonprofit founders to grow their sales, product, and capabilities significantly week over week,” SEED SPOT CEO C’pher Gresham said in a statement. “Ultimately, we hope to equip the founders with the tools, networks, mentors and access to capital to change the world.”
