Back in early October, we put out a call for Delaware high school students to submit their own economics-based raps, also known as HipHoponomics. The kids came through, and you’ll get the chance to see the winner perform at Innovation Celebration this Thursday.
HipHoponomics is the brainchild of Delaware Military Academy economics teacher Greg “MC” Caskey. In case you missed it, here’s a video:
The three finalists for the #DIW17 competition are (in alphabetical order):
- Susannah Chapman, homeschooled
- Jackie Means, Delaware Military Academy
- Rodney Woodland and Tai Jones, Cab Calloway School of the Arts
Congrats to the finalists! All will take home a cash prize ($50 for 3rd place, $150 for 2nd place, or $300 for 1st place).
