Code for Philly co-captain Lloyd Emelle was on TBS’s ‘America’s Greatest Makers’

Emelle and his teammates are building apparel covered in colorful lights. They competed for the $1 million prize. We won't spoil it for you.

Look at Lloyd Emelle, whom you may know from his work with award-winning civic app CyclePhilly or from his work redesigning the Philadelphia Police Department website, compete to be named America’s Greatest Maker (and win $1 million).
With his teammates — San Francisco-based Alison Lewis and Brooklyn-based Madison Maxey, Emelle starred on TBS’s Shark Tank-esque show with a focus on hardware. The trio, going by the name ChromaColour, makes handbags and apparel adorned with colorful lights.
If you have cable (or someone’s cable login), you can watch the full episode (episode No. 2) here. Otherwise, they have a preview of the episode up there for free (Emelle’s team makes an appearance toward the end).
You can also pre-order ChromaColour bags here.

As part of the show, ChromaColour did a four-month Intel engineering bootcamp in San Francisco, where they got access to Intel’s new Curie Module that powers wearables and took a UC Berkeley hardware course. Emelle said the biggest win for him was working with Intel engineers.
Fun fact: In 2010, Emelle and Lewis used to host a show on Fox 29 called My Home 2.0. Check it out here.
