First Round Capital Managing Director Josh Kopelman will join us for an “Ask Me Anything” on the Technical.ly Slack Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 10:30 a.m., in tandem with the Tomorrow Tour event in Philly the following day.
Join the Technical.ly SlackKopelman’s story is particularly well known in the Philly tech community. The team from the first company he cofounded in Wayne in 1992, Infonautics (which later IPO’d), went on to form the foundation of the city’s tech community as we know it today. In 1999, Kopelman left Infonautics to found Half.com, which was sold to eBay for $350 million in stock in 2000.
He returned to the city in 2012 when he moved First Round’s Conshohocken HQ to University City. Since then, he’s gotten involved in the community, running the city’s early stage investment fund, StartUp PHL, and mentoring the city’s young entrepreneurs.
Plus, he puts out a sweet holiday video each year. Here’s the latest.
