A West Coast company that sells standing desks opened its first East Coast operation near Baltimore.
Fully, which is based in Portland, Ore., opened a 100,000-square-foot distribution center and showroom in White Marsh. The location at 10001 Franklin Square Dr. in Nottingham employs eight people. Along with Portland, the company also has a showroom in San Francisco and sells through ecommerce.
The company makes adjustable standing desks and ergonomic furniture like seats that allow for easy sit/stand. Fully is a B Corp, a classification which means it is addressing social and environmental needs as well as making money.
“As a certified B Corporation, Fully actively seeks to cut its carbon emissions, and has calculated that shipping to customers east of the Rocky Mountains out of Baltimore significantly reduces carbon emissions from shipping,” a statement from Baltimore County government said.
