Good morning Philadelphia, I have excellent news for you: SEPTA has returned to work.
And just in time, as this week contains lots of events worth spending your hard earned tokens for.
First, meet up with The Innovator’s Club in the burbs to chat social media. The group promises the presentation will be mixed with some humor. But honestly, every time I hear a grown man say the word “tweet” I snicker a little.
Then, hop on over the Ben Franklin Bridge for the NJ and Philly Tech November meetup in a Cherry Hill bar possibly owned by Hillary Swank.
And lastly, get some sleep Friday night because Saturday is the all day party/un-conference that is BarCamp Philadelphia.
All events listed on the event calendar are free to attend. Be sure to check our complete calendar for more.
Tuesday, November 10th: Conshohocken is a town with a funny name and on Tuesday it will host a man with a funny speech to give. There, David Newman is set to chat social media at the Great America Pub. Newman is a professional speaker that has over 2,000 followers. He also has a picture of a bodybuilder as his Twitter background. 6:00 p.m. Conshohocken. RSVP. [view more events]
Thursday, November 12th: You can’t ride SEPTA to this one (though you could technically take PATCO to Camden and get a ride) the NJ and Philly Tech meetup gathers at Swanky Bubbles in Cherry Hill. The group’s meetup page says that technology is the topic of discussion, but we can only hope that the group decides to help South Jersey finally succeed from the North. 7:00 p.m. Cherry Hill. RSVP. Saturday, November 14th: We’ve covered BarCamp Philly before on TP (and even held a BarCamp of our own) but the original BarCamp Philly returns this weekend and hundreds are set to gather at the University of the Arts for some unconference fun. The event is sold out, but there is an after party and an after-after party and even a kick off party hosted by Two Guys on Beer. 8:00 p.m. Center City. INFO. [view more events]
