It’s been a year of change for the Emerging Enterprise Center (EEC), a project by the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce (NCCCC). Recently, EEC manager Frank DeSantis retired from his position after years of service. Now, the EEC has announced its move to the Riverfront in Wilmington.
The word comes from NCCCC President Mark Kleinschmidt at a public announcement. The EEC captured the moment in video form.
“Our goal for the new location, what we needed to have,” Kleinschmidt explains, “was easy access for our members to get to it. We needed a lot of free parking, because we get a lot of visitors. We needed an appealing workspace for our staff, who does a heck of a job throughout the year. And we also would like to have an attractive and exciting venue.”
The Wilmington Riverfront, with its locale, proximity to 95 and plethora of parking, ticks all those boxes.
The EEC will make the move on June 1. Their new address will be 920 Justison street in Wilmington. If you know the riverfront area, that’s right next to the massive crane still on display in Dravo Plaza. Kleinschmidt is right, that’s an attractive spot.
