Dewey Does Vegas sounds pretty wicked

It’s like Midnight Madness, with less midnight and more social media.

The Dewey Beach afternoon bar crawl Dewey Does Vegas on Aug. 11 will be a costumed scavenger hunt with big prizes, including a trip for two to Las Vegas and a $500 Starboard gift card.

Teams will use Twitter and Instagram to share photos of locations throughout the scavenger hunt, with leaderboards displayed in participating bars, including Woody’s, Nalu and Mez Cali. The whole thing kicks off at noon at The Starboard, rain or shine, and ends there at 4:00.

Winners will be based on likes and shares, so if you’ve got a large following and have been looking for a way to get a free trip to Vegas out of it, this might be your chance.

Registration is $5, subject to increase as the event gets closer. You might also score a bunch of swag from sponsors and participants if you sign up early.

To follow along on the hunt, search the hashtag #deweydoesvegas on Twitter and Insta.
