In a few cities, Uber has implemented a so-called “VIP” feature, which offers users not much more than a feeling of superiority.
After ordering more than 100 rides, users get the chance of picking the VIP option when searching for a driver.
Only drivers rated 4.8 points or higher will then show up. They will also cost as much as UberBLACK.
This VIP service is not available in San Francisco, Los Angeles or Chicago, according to Gigaom. But apparently, D.C. made the snooty city cut.
