Downtown D.C.-based Upside, the platform that aims to entice small business travelers to save money by offering them cheaper options and free stuff, runs on “data science magic.”

For real — that’s how cofounder Scott Case described it when we interviewed him back in July. And now that Upside has officially launched, the company is looking for someone to oversee all that “magic.” That means Upside is hiring a chief data scientist.

Are you a data science and stats wizard with entrepreneurial leanings? Have lots of experience and ready to live that startup life? Then this job’s for you. According to the listing, “the role is roughly 65 percent thought leadership and management and 35 percent hands-on working with data.”

It’s also a chance to work with Priceline cofounders Case and Jay Walker and, apparently, have “impromptu Nerf gun battles” around the office.
