A crowd of people playing a massive outdoor video game
That time we put Pong on the Cira Centre.

More than 2,000 of us came out to kickoff Philly Tech Week Presented by AT&T with the Arcade at the Oval, our big, outdoor festival that featured 10 food trucks, a Yards beer garden, live music, more than a dozen local video game companies and other interactive local technologies to play and, oh, yeah, the world’s largest videogame, Cira Centre Tetris.

As you might expect, the night and Tetris, as envisioned by Drexel University’s Dr. Frank Lee to celebrate the iconic game’s 30th anniversary, garnered lots of widespread media attention for the Philadelphia technology community. Yes, we all like showing off that we live in a place that celebrates innovation.

We thought we’d give you a tidy recap of all the news coverage we saw of this specific event — a wrap of broader Philly Tech Week attention to come next week. Shout out to Britt Faulstick of Drexel for helping us combine this list.
