Aquicore announced the hire of Shawn Thompson as its new VP of product and operations on Thursday.
Thompson joins the company that provides energy metering software for commercial buildings after two years at Arlington-based Opower. According to a statement, Thompson has previous leadership experience at Google, YouTube, Portal Software and Accenture.
“Shawn’s background and depth of experience expands Aquicore’s opportunities to develop innovative solutions for the market and to drive our growth throughout 2016 and beyond,” Aquicore CEO Logan Soya said in a statement.
The new hire comes about a month after Aquicore announced its forthcoming expansion to the West Coast.
