Alphabuyer, the Paoli-based group buying service for electricity, gained an unlikely partner last year: the Springside Chestnut Hill Academy robotics team.
It started when the high schoolers of Vulcan Robotics, the Springside Chestnut Hill Academy’s robotics team, approached Alphabuyer about creative ways of fundraising, according to a recent post on Alphabuyer’s blog. Through the startup’s referral program, the students were able to raise $1,000 for their team.
Alphabuyer was so taken with the team that it became a Vulcan Robotics sponsor.
