Some 186 students from the Philly area gathered at Temple University last December for the first local iteration of a global hackathon called Local Hack Day.

On Dec. 2 the “12-hour hack day that brings together the local hacker community” is happening again with backing from local companies like SEI, Guru, Vanguard, Unisys, Elsevier and Captech.

Participation is only open to university students from the Greater Philadelphia area, said organizer Shail Shetye, from student group TUDev.

RSVP

The event is free and will take place at Temple’s Howard Gittis Student Center.
