A new mobile app from the Maryland Emergency Management Agency provides a checklist for state residents as they assemble their own emergency preparedness kits, as well as gives app users the ability to view weather updates and send “I’m safe” text messages to friends and family members.
The app, Maryland Prepares, is available on iOS and Android devices and was released on Oct. 11, according to a press release.
