Are you ready to mingle?

Technical.ly will host its annual Super Meetup Delaware this Thursday, Aug. 1, at the new DE.CO food hall in Wilmington. The event is an opportunity to bring local tech-related meetups together for one big networking event. It’s basically an after-work party with 100+ of your favorite tech pros and enthusiasts.

Super Meetup also gives our sponsoring organizations the chance to show off their culture in a no-pressure way for attendees. Grab your colleagues and come on down for a great night!

What to expect at Super Meetup:

  • Meet local tech companies and organizations to find your next opportunity
  • Connect with at least eight local meetup groups and community leaders
  • Food and drink provided by DE.CO
  • Grab tons of free swag, biz cards and good vibes

Without our sponsors, Super Meetup isn’t possible. Stop by these tables and show them some love: Vanguard, Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP, Delaware Prosperity Partnership, Inc Now, JP Morgan Chase andM&T Bank.

We know that networking can be tough, so we rounded up a few tips and inside information on one of the event sponsors, Vanguard. Below is our Q&A with Mike Borrelli, the corporation’s university relations and partnership manager to find out what makes Vanguard a great place to work.

###

So, what’s the scoop on Vanguard?

Attendees should stop by the Vanguard table as [our team] will be there discussing exciting impactful tech jobs at Vanguard! Attendees can expect to hear how we make it count for our clients every day, and how our IT division enables the success of our business.

What’s something that makes Vanguard interesting or different?

Vanguard’s culture focuses on our clients, crew and communities. As a crew member (or employee), you’ll have the opportunity to be a part of impactful assignments while taking advantage of best-in-class benefits. Imagine a paid-parental leave and financial benefits that enable you to live life to the fullest.

What is something interesting that your team is working on?

Vanguard wants to do for financial advice what we did for exchange traded funds and mutual funds: Make top-notch, holistic advice accessible to anyone who needs it at an incredibly low price. In order to create highly personalized advice experiences, we seek to incorporate behavioral economics to better personalize the advice needed. To that end, we are utilizing artificial intelligence and other data science techniques on a variety of financial advisory projects. Our goal is to create experiences and services that will help more people than ever before reaching their financial goals.

What technical positions are you hiring for?

  • Senior Front-End Developer
  • Senior UX Designer
  • Site Reliability Engineer
