Check out the DC-area companies that made it onto the Deloitte Fast 500 roster

The results are in: On Wednesday, Deloitte dropped its Fast 500 list, recognizing the top companies around.

The list honors North American companies in tech, media, telecommunications, life sciences and energy. Particularly savvy readers might even recognize quite a bit of overlap with this year’s local Inc. 5000 honorees. Either way, these are companies to follow.

All in all, 25 DMV companies nabbed spots on the list, and 76% are in the software industry. Life science companies made up 16%, although vaccine developer Novavax took the top spot with 15,481% growth. According to Deloitte, awardees were selected based on their revenue growth during the fiscal year from 2019 to 2022.

“This year’s Fast 500 rankings supports the Washington area’s position as a hub for technology and innovation-based companies,” said Amy Holcomb, Deloitte’s tech, media and telecommunications industry leader for Greater Washington, in a statement. “Our diverse range of companies represent all sectors, from technology and media to life sciences and energy tech. Congratulations to all of the Greater Washington companies that have been recognized for their innovative spirit.”
