Calling all DMV-area roboticists, technologists, entrepreneurs and committed inventors: Always wanted to build your own robot but never quite got around to it? This could be that extra impetus you’re looking for.
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is apparently looking to pay up to $150,000 for your robotic creation as part of its Robotics Fast Track program. There are prerequisites and requirements, undoubtedly, and an event at TechShop DCA will go over those.
Head to Arlington on Dec. 15 to hear what DARPA is looking for, and address any project-specific questions to program manager Mark Micire.
The event is free.
