AccelerateBaltimore, this city’s own accelerator program based out of the Emerging Technology Center in Canton, as well as Baltimore’s first business incubator, has announced that 14 business leaders will join the accelerator in 2013 as program mentors.
Startups must apply to AccelerateBaltimore by Friday, Nov. 30.
Among some of the mentors announced so far are Andrew Coy, co-executive director of the Digital Harbor Foundation, Ron Schmelzer, CEO of Bizelo and the organizer of the Baltimore, Columbia and D.C. TechBreakfasts, and Greg Cangialosi, co-founder of the new Federal Hill-based incubator Betamore.
Originally started in April 2012, AccelerateBaltimore graduated its first four companies in July: NewsUp, Kithly, Unbound Concepts and Given.to.
In 2013, free office space and seed funding of $25,000 will be distributed to each one of six companies the ETC hopes to recruit to the accelerator.
