Thriving is a year-long Technical.ly storytelling series focused on economic mobility in the United States. Informed by 500 residents from a dozen cities and representing 10 persona groups, the series paired economic data and people stories.
The project culminated in a 10-part audio documentary podcast, which won a national "Journalistic Impact" award from the influential Local Independent Online News association and was named the top podcast of the year by the Pennsylvania News Media Association.
The project's goal was to generate insights about the economic opportunities and obstacles along their journeys to financial security and freedom.Thriving is underwritten by the William Penn Foundation, the Knight Foundation and The Pew Charitable Trusts. Scroll down to read the series.
