Has remote work left you feeling disconnected this year? Coworking community Indy Hall is launching a three-month membership to its “summer camp,” a virtual experience to spend time and connect with fellow independently minded professionals.
The one-time $149 camp fee includes three months of access to Indy Hall’s online membership and its camp “bunking” system to get paired with other folks who have things in common with you. There will be curated experiences with your bunk mates and special events for summer camp participants, along with Indy Hall’s regular membership perks including chat and discussion lists, skill sharing, quiet video and text-only coworking.
Summer Camp welcome programing kicked off on Friday and offers a handful of small community gatherings you can attend on any given day. Participate in as much or as little as you’d like.
At the end of the three months, members can decide to continue their Indy Hall membership or sign up for regular access. And oh yeah, it’s BYO S’mores.
Learn moreIndy Hall’s Alex Hillman tweeted this update after this story was published: “Our summer camp programming is full and officially underway, but we have a waiting list for the next session, coming later this fall!”

PropelPHL launches this week
Hire! Philly, an employer-based workforce group in the region, is launching PropelPHL. The digital platform aims to convene the entire Greater Philadelphia region’s workforce ecosystem — job seekers, employers and workforce agencies — in one place. The first phase of its rollout will begin later this week, focused on reducing barriers for marginalized communities in Philadelphia that were adversely affected by job loss in 2020.
On the platform, those seeking jobs will be able to get matched to job opportunities, identify training programs, connect with community resources, and explore career pathways. Those looking to hire can use it to expand their pipeline, while workforce development agencies and training providers will have a direct line to provide targeted support for qualified candidates, according to Hire! Philly.
Along with the launch, there will also be 11 neighborhood “PropelPHL Points,” or sites within Free library branches where folks can use the digital platform, but also also receive in-person support. Online, the PropelPHL toolkit for organizations looking to get involved is available for download.
