What were you doing when the clock struck 12 on New Year’s Eve? In Philly, 1,109 people were in an Uber, according to stats from the ridesharing company.

XFINITY Live!, Lincoln Financial Field (here’s some Lyft data about the Linc) and The Fillmore were the top three destinations for riders, with some 19,457 people using the cheaper uberPOOL option to get around.

“Thank you to drivers who gave up their night to help people make smart choices and provide a reliable alternative to drinking and driving,” Uber spokesman Craig Ewer said in an email.

Here are some more stats from the company’s final night of 2017:

  • Between midnight and 3 a.m., one driver took on 25 trips.
  • The “Tip Your Driver” functionality, rolled out last summer, netted Philly-area drivers $41,802 in tips.
  • One high-rolling passenger dropped their driver a $100 tip.

It was the end of a tumultuous year for the transportation company, including a sexual harassment scandal and a leadership shakeup. In 2018, the company will see the deployment of three local programs geared at diversity in the tech space as part of the 8-80 Coding initiative.

“We look forward to continuing our efforts to expand safe, affordable transportation options and flexible work opportunities across Greater Philadelphia,” said Ewer.
