Use this map to see 3K+ properties up for sheriff’s sale

The map was built by Alex Roscoe, a Drexel alum and Comcast Cable engineer who got interested in sheriff's sales when he and his wife were house hunting. The Sheriff's Office told NBC10 it's interested in doing something similar but has no hard plans to do so.

You can now see all the properties up for sheriff’s sale on a map, thanks to a winning Philly Codefest project.

The app uses data from the Sheriff’s Office and the Board of Revision of Taxes, though the site warns that the data could be inaccurate.
