After nearly two days of Twitter marking all the Philadelphia City Paper‘s links as spam, the alt-weekly’s Twitter appears to be fully functional again. City Paper’s digital editor Paulina Reso told The Atlantic she had no idea what could have caused the issue.
The paper used a Tumblr workaround yesterday.

The incident calls to mind blogger Anil Dash‘s talk at the Wharton Web Conference, where he described people’s enormous dependence on corporation-owned platforms like Facebook and Twitter and said that it was up to us to fight back with civil disobedience. Speak up when you’re not happy, Dash said, and that’s exactly what City Paper did, with news of the mess going national.
