Cloudamize, a Center City B2B startup once described as “Mint.com for cloud computing,” raised a $1.2 million seed round led by local investors MissionOG, Gabriel Investments with participation from DreamIt Ventures, according to a release. The funding will be used to grow its team.

The DreamIt Ventures Fall 2012 company currently employs 10 and is looking to grow its team in terms of sales, client services and development, said Cloudamize COO and MissionOG managing partner George Krautzel. Krautzel took on the COO position as part of MissionOG’s investment in the company, but the position is temporary and he will become a board member once Cloudamize grows its team, he said.

Led by CEO Khushboo Shah, Cloudamize helps companies optimize their Amazon Web Services‘ usage. Its clients include Philly mobile backend startup and fellow Mission OG portfolio company Cloudmine, New York City digital agency YellowHammer Media and Silicon Valley ecommerce platform Nimble Commerce.

Its headquarters are at 1735 Market Street in the BNY Mellon Center, where it shares office space with Gabriel Investments, philanthropy organization Governor’s Woods and startup Squareknot.

Shah was the entrepreneur chosen to give voice to the need for additional early stage money in the run up to the launch of StartupPHL, including its early press materials and the launch event.
