To get stronger startups for their university incubator, Drexel University is unveiling a summer prep program.
Called, with no apparent irony, a ‘pre-incubator,’ the session is open to Drexel graduates and current students and leads to the university’s annual Incubator Competition that offers $25,000 in cash as well as office space in Drexel’s Baiada Institute and in-kind service prizes to select companies.
Get more information on how to apply to the pre-incubator here. Deadline is June 10.
The pre-incubator program, as reported by Drexel’s blog, is meant to prepare up to five teams for the Incubator Competition. Those five teams will get office space in the Baiada Insitute over the summer, as well as training for the upcoming competition.
The program is yet another development in the growing student startup scene, promoted by local universities increasing the number of entrepreneurship-focused programs that they offer.
