Philly Tech Week 2013 Presented by AT&T Design/Development

Preview some of the Design/Development events that will occur during Philly Tech Week.
In the weeks leading up to Philly Tech Week Presented by AT&T, we'll be highlighting events from each of our five tracks. Find the Access/Policy track preview here. Find the Entrepreneurship/Investment track preview here.

Do like a secret agent and hack an app that will send images remotely and sound on command. Learn how to scale your business on Amazon Web Services. Talk mobile, marketing and ecommerce with Urban Outfitters and other industry experts.

Do all of those things and more at events on the Design/Development track of the third annual Philly Tech Week Presented by AT&T. Track sponsors include Chariot Solutions and Urban Outfitters.

We highlight three big dev events happpening during the week, but, let’s be real, there are more than 30 events during the week around design and development. There’s a lot of ground to cover, so get the full calendar of Design/Development track events here.

  • Scaling on AWS for the first 10 Million Users [Monday, April 22, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.] Organized by Founded in Philly from DuckDuckGo founder Gabriel Weinberg, learn how to scale your business in its early days on Amazon Web Services. Chris Munns, Solutions Architect at AWS, will lead the talk but other AWS staffers will also be in attendance.
  • Mobile, Marketing and Ecommerce Trends Hosted By URBN [Friday, April 26, 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.] The Design/Dev track’s headline event will feature lightning talks, a panel discussion and a collaborative and action-focused session, all focused on the mobile, marketing and ecommerce industries. More details to come.
  • Node Philly 2013 [Tuesday, April 23, 8:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.] Hack the day away with Ninja Blocks (there’s a session at the conference that will teach you how to become a Ninja Block spy — er, we mean how to program a Ninja app that can send images remotely and sound on command) and more at this full-day conference for the Node.js community.
  • Hackathons — Oh, you wanted hackathons? How about the NASA Space Apps Challenge, the third annual News Hackathon and Startup Weekend?

And we will assume you are coming to our Pre-Tech Week Meta Meetup of Meetups for the development-focused user groups among us.
