Tomorrow, make the call on a ballot question that calls for more transparency around the city budget.

The question asks: Should the Mayor have to give City Council information on its annual city budget proposals?

Interestingly, city budget director Rebecca Rhynhart has said that while the Nutter administration supports the idea behind the proposed law, it cannot support the law itself because the city lacks the proper technology to provide budget information on all city departments by Fiscal Year 2014. Rhynhart says that the Adel Ebeid, the city’s Chief Innovation Officer, is looking to purchase a new system so this could work.
