Philly Police Department officials are listing their social media accounts on new business cards, tweets Philadelphia Daily News’ crime reporter Morgan Zalot’s Twitter.

It’s been some two years of local cops rethinking their communication outlets, which they say is leading to new outlets for tips.

That’s in contrast to other city departments:

“(Ahem.) The website for Philadelphia Office of Innovation and Technology offers only phone numbers as contact info. No email, no Twitter,” tweets Philadelphia journalist Joel Mathis.
