Go back to school with Philly Startup Leaders.
The organization is launching PSL University, a series of events where leaders in the community will give practical advice on building a business. The idea behind the project was simple, says RJMetrics CEO Robert Moore, who is leading the effort: there are plenty of entrepreneurs who have “been in the trenches” and come out with valuable knowledge, but they don’t always have an opportunity to share their stories.

Moore conducted a survey to find out what topics PSL members were most interested in and is using the results to guide the events, he says. Moore says the series will continue as long as there’s interest, with an event every three to four months.
The kickoff event, focused on building a customer base, will be held on Monday evening at Callowhill-based incubator Venturef0rth and will feature DuckDuckGo‘s Gabriel Weinberg, WebLinc‘s Darren Hill and Xtium‘s Peter Ritz.
Moore says possible future topics include best practices for lean startups, exit strategy and the process of building a founding team.
