The second annual Philly Tech Week presented by AT&T, is almost here, but with about 80 events over the course of just one week, creating a plan of attack might feel a little overwhelming.

To help you get ready in the next couple weeks, we’ll be highlighting events according to our five event tracks: entrepreneurship/investment, media/transparency, access/policy, design/development and arts/creative. To be clear, we’ve tried our best to make sure only the most meaningful events are on our calendar, so there’s value in all of them.

Here, we’re just picking out a few that might have wide interest — check out the entire Entrepreneurship/Investment calendar!

For now, to start, here are five of the coolest events from the Entrepreneurship/Investment track presented by Morgan Lewis.

  1. Startup Weekend: An intense 54 hour event focused on building a web or mobile application which could form the basis of a credible business over the course of a single weekend.
    1. Date: Friday April 20, 2012 – April 22, 2012
    2. Time: 5:00 pm (4/20) – 9:00 pm (4/22)
    3. Location: 320 South Broad Street, 19102, Hamilton Hall, Uarts
  2. Philly Uncubed (Startup Job Fair): Finding the perfect gig ain’t easy. Enjoy music, ping pong, networking, drinks, photos and over 70 exciting new companies in a true startup environment.
  3. Tales of a Philly Entrepreneur: Four Philly entrepreneurs will cover everything there is to know about launching a successful startup in Philadelphia.
  4. Startup 101: Launching a startup starts with your great idea. Funding, Technology, and Marketing are where Kevin Brophy of Meidlinger Partners, Fred Bender of PFIT, and Dan Gemp of Dreamscape Marketing come in.
  5. Switch Philly: Five Philly startups will demo in front of three judges — Mayor Michael Nutter, Josh Kopelman, Ellen Weber — and attendees to determine the winner of a prize pack that includes free office space and meetings with local investors.
  6. Entrepreneur Expo: The regular event from Philly Startup Leaders: Bright Ideas? Philly has them. The Entrepreneur Expo, a Philly Startup Leaders, Inc. event, will showcase the work of top Philadelphia-area entrepreneurs in a tradeshow setting, with an estimated 50 exhibitors and a select number presenting keynote addresses about their emerging businesses
