Today in interesting niche events: PakathonDC, a group that empowers “entrepreneurs across the globe to bring about an actionable change in Pakistan,” is hosting a workshop on the basics of starting up next Tuesday, May 31.
“You have an idea for a way to make this world a better place but you have no idea where to start,” the event page declares. But lucky you — PakathonDC has your back. The group plans to host a series of events, each tackling a different aspect of starting a company.
“Our workshop will be open to anyone and everyone with an interest in entrepreneurship and launching their own startup,” organizers tell Technical.ly. “A startup connected to Pakistan is not a requirement!”
The upcoming event, to be held at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, promises to focus on the process of incorporation and the lean startup method — future topics include design, funding and more.
