Linda Shi, general counsel and head of compliance for University City adtech firm 50onRed, won a “Rising Star” award at Penn Law’s Women’s Summit Tuesday evening.
Shi, 32, of Point Breeze, is in good company: presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, among others, also won Women’s Summit awards this year.

Shi joined 50onRed in 2014, replacing former general counsel David Graff, who left to join Google as a director for global public policy. Shi oversees a team of two and works to keep 50onRed compliant around issues like advertising and data privacy. She also cofounded Likuma Labs, the NextFab-based industrial design firm that’s worked with local hardware startups like Biomeme and Nucleus, with her husband, designer Kurt Swanson.
Here’s a 50onRed Q&A with Shi.
