Wilmington’s Howard High School of Technology’s tech lab just got a whole lot tech-ier, thanks to a grant from Capital One.
The vocational high school — the first public high school in Delaware to dole out iPads to every student — has 13 cooperative career programs that place students in work environments where they need to know their way around the latest software and tools.
The old lab just wasn’t cutting it.
That’s why the school was beset upon by approximately 50 volunteers from Capital One who hauled new furniture, new computers (loaded with brand new software), a 3-D printer, a green screen, a flat-screen TV and a ton of new books into the space.
The grant is part of Heart of America Foundation’s library makeover program, READesign.
