Sharif, who became a quadriplegic after a 2013 car accident, has been a vocal advocate of web accessibility, organizing accessibility-focused hackathons and running a web accessibility consultancy called EvoXLabs.
The next evoHaX hackathon is on April 30 and May 1, during Philly Tech Week 2016, just after the Accessible World Conference, which EvoXLabs is bringing to Philadelphia.
When he won Geekadelphia’s Geek of the Year Award last year, he became something of a local tech scene role model, but it’s nice to see Sharif get attention in the broader Philadelphia community.
