72 percent of Baltimore’s 55K computing jobs are held by men

Just under 75 percent of people employed in 1.7 million computing jobs in the U.S. are men, according to data from U.S. Census Bureau and compiled by FiveThirtyEight.

What’s the ratio of men to women in the tech field in the U.S.?
Just under 75 percent of people employed in 1.7 million computing jobs in the U.S. are men, according to data from U.S. Census Bureau and compiled by FiveThirtyEight.
In Baltimore, that percentage is slightly less. Of the 55,369 jobs in programming, software engineering or general computer science, 72 percent of them are held by men in the Baltimore metropolitan area.
