If you missed the 2019 theatrical run of “Delaware Shore” at Penn Cinema, the award-winning indie film set and filmed on location in Slaughter Beach, is now streaming on Amazon Prime.

The 2018 film from New Castle’s Avocado Media was written, produced and directed by Raghav Peri, based on a novel by Michaelangelo Rodriguez, who is also the CEO of Avocado Media. Its accolades include a Hollywood International Moving Pictures Film Festival award for first-time filmmaking and two Los Angeles Film Awards for Best Indie Filmmaker (Peri) and Best Score (David C. Hëvvitt).

The drama follows the story of a Holocaust survivor named Agnes and the two young-adult grandchildren she raised, featuring locally tied actors, including Gail Wagner, Emily McKinley Hill and James Robinson Jr.

“Delaware Shore” is the third project for the company, following the comedy “The Wilmingtonians” and the documentary “Slavery’s Children,” featuring four Delawareans telling their stories of social struggle and triumph.
