Wilmington’s 76ers Fieldhouse, which opened in 2019 as the home of NBA G League Philadelphia 76ers affiliate the Delaware Blue Coats, has rebranded.
It will now be known as the Chase Fieldhouse, BPG|SPORTS and the Blue Coats have announced. The renaming of the arena was decided as part of a multifaceted joint partnership with JPMorgan Chase. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
The iconic Philadelphia 76ers logo will remain on the building’s west facade.
In addition to Blue Coats basketball in its 2,300-seat arena, Chase Fieldhouse also offers indoor and outdoor full-sized professional turf fields, and is the home of the Nemours Sports Medicine Clinic, Titus Sports Academy, and executive business office spaces. The arena is also used as an entertainment venue, including the Bydaway Bash that featured an appearance by Cardi B and Snow Jam featuring O.A.R.
“We are thrilled to welcome JPMorgan Chase to our team and arena family,” said Delaware Blue Coats President Larry Meli in a statement. “Chase has made an enormous impact in the Wilmington community for many years and it’s a privilege to join them on this next chapter. The promise of Chase Fieldhouse has always been to serve as a beacon for our area youth, and that mission is strongly emboldened by this partnership.”
