Here’s the stack for one of Delaware’s burgeoning tech companies

One thing we learned from Tech Stacks Month is that it’s not always easy to get folks to share their stacks, aka the set of libraries, frameworks and programming languages they work with to build their software products. At the same time, some are quick to share.

One of the latter was Andrew Braune, president of Danio Connect, a Newark-based tech brand that started out as an innovation in medical communication via the highly secure Danio Diary app, and has evolved to include the developing Connect platform that simplifies communication between businesses and nonprofit supporters. As part of the software development company Green Line Group located at the Delaware Technology Park, it’s also a sibling to the Eye Need a Witness app.

Danio Connect is similar to a social network, with the purpose giving nonprofits a marketing platform to connect with other organizations and businesses, as well as a place for individuals and businesses to securely donate. It includes a marketplace where people can find discounts and offers for local businesses and organizations.

The tech stack has a focus on mobile and data storage.

Client:

• iOS native code for mobile
• Android native code for mobile
• Flutter cross-platform code for mobile
• Jade template NodeJS for application websites

Server:

• PostgreSQL database
• NodeJS API server
• Heroku AWS for file storage and load balancing

So, why ask tech companies to share their stacks in the first place? Because transparency rules, and it’s cool to see what tools different technologists are using to solve today’s problems.
